GLUTATHIONE

Dosage Ranges

  • Standard dose: 600–1200 mg IV (≈3–6 mL of 200 mg/mL solution)
  • High dose: 1500–2000 mg IV (≈7.5–10 mL of 200 mg/mL solution)
  • Method: Dilute in 100–250 mL carrier fluid (0.9% NaCl, CSL, or Hartmann's)
  • Infuse over 20–45 minutes
  • Can be given at the end of a vitamin/mineral drip ("chaser") or as a standalone infusion
  • Frequency: 1–2 times per month (wellness / antioxidant support)

Clinical & Wellness Benefits

  • Master antioxidant: regenerates Vitamin C & E, reduces oxidative stress
  • Liver detoxification: phase II conjugation, toxin clearance
  • Skin health: may support brightening, collagen, anti-aging
  • Immune support: enhances lymphocyte function
  • Cellular repair: supports mitochondrial function

Safety & Precautions

  • Generally safe when diluted & infused slowly
  • Rapid undiluted push may cause chest tightness, flushing, or nausea
  • Asthmatics: rare reports of bronchospasm
  • Excretion: metabolised and cleared via kidneys; check renal function (GFR) if regular dosing
  • Should not be mixed in the same bag with Vitamin C (risk of oxidation) — give sequentially or separate bags
  • Always record baseline labs if used long-term (LFTs, renal, oxidative stress markers if indicated)
